Should UIM Limits “Stack” Above Underlying Liability Coverage?

Coincidentally, immediately after I read Hunt v. Everett, 2006 WL 42219 (Mo. App. W.D. January 10, 2006), a case about Missouri’s rule on the stackability of UIM coverage above underlying auto liability insurance, I came across a copy of an excellent article about the debate over stacking UIM coverage in Oregon. The article is by Eugene, Oregon-based coverage attorney Joel DeVore, who wrote it for the 2005 fall seminar of the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel. Click below to read Joel’s article.
