Jury finds for Allstate in California wildfire case

Technically I am on vacation for a couple days in Phoenix, where, some of you may remember, I spent some time in the news business and had a great time.  This city was very good to me. I’ll do the best I can at blogging, but my time is fairly limited. I happened upon this story in the North County Times last night: an interesting look at one of the hundreds of lawsuits filed in the aftermath of California wildfires alleging misrepresentations that resulted in underinsurance.  In the case profiled in the story, the insurer and agent won a zero verdict. Generally speaking, claims that insurers or agents negligently failed to provide sufficient insurance are very tough to win.
