A Long Lawsuit

Some cases are too impenetrable even for a coverage geek to dive in unless it’s really necessary, but in skimming the case I was a little startled by the Dickensian length of the litigation over payment of a life insurance premium in Kirtley v. Sovereign Life Ins. Co., 2006 WL 148274 (10th Cir. January 20, 2006). The 19-year litigation doesn’t quite approach the generations-long lawsuit of Bleak House, but it is definitely long enough.
